ECCO^® GOLF ambassador, Lydia Ko, kicked off her 2022 season in style, going wire-to-wire with a nail-biting one-shot victory at the Gainbridge LPGA.

Ko, who in 2021 returned to the winner’s circle at the LOTTE Championship, was in good form at the start of 2022 following a strong T10 finish at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions.

This week, wearing ECCO BIOM^® G3, Ko enjoyed four brilliant rounds of golf at what was a tough test in Boca Rio Golf Club, Florida. She kicked off her tournament with a blistering nine-under-par 63 on Thursday, and led the field from then on. A battling 72 on Saturday then set her up for a calm and collected three-under-par 69 on Sunday to win by one shot.

“I feel like it’s been much more consistent. Last year, even though I didn’t win on the LPGA at the end of the year, I put myself in contention quite a bit and I think when you keep knocking on the door you feel like at one point it’s going to open.

“I tried to stay really patient out there and not get carried away on what everybody else was doing and just focus on my game, trying to make the lowest score I could,” She added.
