Nippon Shaft’s Modus Series notched its 240th and 241st victories since it debuted on pro Tours a decade ago, with wins on the European and LPGA Tours.

A European Tour veteran from Northern Ireland won the inaugural Scandinavian Mixed Hosted by Henrik & Annika, in Gothenburg, Sweden using N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 120 steel shafts in his irons.

It was the first European Tour victory for the 37-year-old who finished at 17-under par. His 8-under final round featured eight birdies and an eagle along with two bogeys. He earned a cheque for €145,160.

Meanwhile, a 26-year-old rookie from Finland won her first tournament at the LPGA Mediheal Championship using N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 105 steel shafts in her irons. Trailing by two shots when she started her final round, she took the lead on front nine at the foggy Lake Merced Golf Club in Daly City, California, shooting a 6-under 30, then birdied the 18th to win by two. She shot a total of 14-under par, earned $225,000 and put her name in the hat for LPGA Rookie of the Year.

“Nippon Shaft is excited to congratulate the winners of both the Scandinavian Mixed and the LPGA Mediheal Championship,” said Hiro Fukuda, sales and marketing for Nippon Shaft. “We are pleased that both first time champions have broken into the winners’ circle using the highest-quality shafts in the industry and we wish them the best in the future.”
