The winner of the Winco Foods Portland Open used Nippon Shaft N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 130x steel shafts in his irons on Sunday to record his first victory on the Korn Ferry Tour and secure his PGA Tour playing privileges for the 2019-20 season.

The 31-year-old from Columbus, Ohio, shot a final round 6-under par 65 to finish at 22-under for the week at Pumpkin Ridge GC’s Witch Hollow course in North Plains, Oregon. For his two-shot victory he earned a first-place cheque of $144,000.

It was the 35th victory this year for the MODUS³ series and the 189th overall, according to company officials.

Meanwhile six other players who used Nippon Shaft products also secured their PGA Tour cards for next season. All finished 14th or better on the Top 25 list of qualifiers.
