Abbey Hill Pirate Golf Group

Abbey Hill Golf Centre, a BGL venue in Two Mile Ash, Milton Keynes, has unveiled its newly renovated Mr Mulligan’s Pirate Golf course after an extensive £35,000 investment.

Concrete artists who regularly work for Pixar animations were brought in to create several artistic elements on the course, including a new castle turret that creates a vortex for the golf ball to travel through, an eerie Long John Silver’s graveyard, and a concrete canon that stands guard over one of the holes.

A new animatronic pirate at the entrance of the course pleads for intrepid explorers to help him to escape the pirate lagoon, and all who visit are transported across the treacherous water by two new rafts installed during the renovations.

The renovation works also involve laying new turf on all 18-holes of the adventure golf course, as well as upgrades to specific features around the course.

“The Mr Mulligan’s course here at Abbey Hill is an incredibly popular attraction in the local community,” commented Andrew Scholey, General Manager at Abbey Hill Golf Centre. “The investment and subsequent renovations have ensured that all of our visitors enjoy the facilities as much as possible and want to come back and enjoy them time and time again.”

The facilities on offer at Abbey Hill Golf Centre provide a wide range of activities for golfers of all ages and abilities. From the adventure golf and Footgolf courses, to the nine-hole par three and more challenging 18-hole parkland course; there’s something for everyone at the local club.
