BGL Promote Training - Matthew Orwin, Jess Moore, David Reeves

Burhill Golf & Leisure Ltd. (BGL) have recently partnered with Promote Training to deliver a new, blended learning course on the Group Booking Sales process at all of their venues.

The course included a one day workshop, delivered by Promote Training Co-Founder David Reeves at Abbey Hill Golf Centre, followed by an eLearning refresher and assessment which was passed by all participating employees.

Blended learning combines traditional, face-to-face education with online learning and Promote Training provides a wealth of expertise in both areas.

David Reeves, Co-Founder of the company, has led workshops on golf club management for both the Professional Golfers Association and over 200 golf clubs in the private and propriety sectors, meanwhile Promote Training is growing its reputation as the first, dedicated eLearning provider to the UK golf industry with an increasing library of practical courses on a variety of golf club management subjects.

The course that Promote Training provided for BGL covered key aspects of increasing golf day and society income at the individual clubs; this ranged from prospecting for new business through to taking bookings and maximising yield from events.

“Our team of sales personnel really enjoyed the experience. Content is still ‘King’, undoubtedly, and this course included lots of best practices and new ideas on how our clubs can grow their group booking revenues,” commented Jess Moore, BGL’s Group Sales Manager.

“The blended learning format helped deliver all of these new initiatives in a time effective manner, with the eLearning section reinforcing the topics covered and allowing our staff to reflect on lots of new concepts and strategies that they can implement at their home clubs,” continued Jess.

BGL are continually investing in its employees and venues to ensure that they offer great destinations for every golf and leisure occasion, as well as affordable golf to players of all ages and abilities. As one of the largest golf course operators in the UK, BGL manages 22 courses across its ten venues, as well as leisure centres and Adventure Golf courses at selected sites across the country.
