ETIQUS, the British brand of distinctive, quality timepieces exclusively for golfers, is excited to announce that it has raised £10,000 for leading golf charity the Golf Foundation.

The cheque was presented to Golf Foundation Chief Executive Brendon Pyle at the recent Golf Trade Show at Harrogate where ETIQUS debuted its timepiece collection.

Brainchild of entrepreneur and founder Gary Butler, the ETIQUS brand is formed on the principles of golfing etiquette and is committed to helping preserve the spirit of the game for future generations, a philosophy the Golf Foundation also strives to uphold.

In addition to donating £5 of every timepiece sold, ETQIUS encourages golfers to donate to the charity when purchasing a watch. The company has worked in close partnership with ‘The Golf Guide’ to raise funds and awareness for the Golf Foundation throughout the season, raising £5,000 across 15 golf events at locations across the UK.

ETIQUS created a ‘charity challenge’ as recently as last week for the Golf Foundation’s annual Pro-Am at London Golf Club, a major industry-diary event supported by The European Tour.

The Golf Foundation’s purpose is to make golf more accessible to young people and to help them ‘Start, Learn and Stay’ in the sport. The £10,000 raised will be spent on the Foundation’s national HSBC Golf Roots programme which grows golf participation among young people and offers the ‘Skills for Life’ benefits for which the sport is known.

Talking about reaching the £10,000 milestone, Gary Butler commented, “The people who invest in an ETIQUS timepiece are proud to be identified as golfers and they recognise that a donation to the Golf Foundation can help ensure that the next generation is able to enjoy this wonderful game. Through ETIQUS’ ‘a fiver for the foundation’ campaign, they are able to put something back into the sport at a grass roots level.”

Brendon Pyle, Chief Executive of the Golf Foundation, said, “ETIQUS has been so generous to include the Golf Foundation in its plans and create funding through these golf events, sales and donations, and this money will be spent well to bring new youngsters into the game.

“This was a fantastic commitment. The golf industry needs people like Gary Butler who understand the importance of encouraging the next generation of young players and also the importance of playing the game in the right way, with spirit and respect for all involved.”

The mix of men’s and women’s models feature Swiss made movements and several subtle details and designs that are recognised and appreciated by golfers, ranging from the unique dimple patterned face to the unique ‘Butler Bezel’ inspired by Pace of Play guidelines published by The R&A.

ETIQUS timepieces can be purchased by consumers through PGA Professional affiliates. For more information visit the stand at the Golf Trade Show, or head to www.ETIQUS.co.uk.
