The winner of the LPGA Tour’s season-ending CME Group Tour Championship won using Nippon Shaft, with the 20-year-old English winner claiming her maiden professional victory on U.S. soil by setting a new Tournament scoring record as she went bogey-free on the weekend.

Using Nippon Shaft’s acclaimed N.S. PRO MODUS³ Tour 125 S flex steel shafts in both her irons and wedges, the former Ladies European Tour Rookie of the Year finished the week at 19-under par, firing rounds of 67, 70, 66 and 66 at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Florida.

Now ranked 18th in the Official Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings, the Solheim Cup star ends the LPGA Tour season 4th in the Race to the CME Globe final standings, having amassed 4,300 points including a runner-up finish at the ANA Inspiration and a total of five top ten finishes.

“It’s a pretty cool feeling,” the winner described to the media following her win. “It hasn’t quite sunk in yet, but I last won on the Ladies European Tour like two years ago. Feels good now to get a win.”

The 2014 Ladies European Tour Order of Merit winner ranked 14th in Greens in Regulation on the LPGA Tour in 2016, hitting 72.64% of greens, and was third in Sand Saves, getting up and down from bunkers 58.16% of the time.

Commenting on the victory, Nippon Shaft’s European Sales Manager Garry Price said, “To have multiple professional victories around the world at only 20 years of age is an amazing achievement, and we’re absolutely thrilled that she continues to choose to trust our shafts as she competes at the top of the womens game.

“This is Nippon Shaft’s 19th victory on either the LPGA Tour or Ladies European Tour this year, with other notable victories including the U.S. Women’s Open, the Evian Championship and The Olympics,” continued Price.

Nippon Shaft has recorded hundreds of victories on professional golf tours around the world, as the best players in the world continue to choose to use the company’s steel shafts in their irons and wedges.
