Nippon Shaft recorded a 1-2-3 finish at the LPGA’s LOTTE Championship on Saturday (April 14), as players from three different countries used the company’s steel shafts in their irons and wedges.
This is the second MODUS³ Tour 105 win on the LPGA Tour this year, and the 130th N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour in total professional victories since the series release in 2010.
The 20-year-old Canadian winner used N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 105 S flex steel shafts in her irons and MODUS³ Wedge 115 steel shafts in her wedges as she shot a 12-under par total with rounds of 68-66-73-69—276 at Ko Olina Golf Club in Kapolei, Hawaii. She earned $300,000 for her sixth LPGA Tour victory.
The runner-up, from Spain, used N.S.PRO 850GH steel shafts in her irons and wedges to shoot 8-under par for the event. The South Korean player who finished in a three-way tie for third shot 7-under used N.S.PRO 950GH steel shafts in her irons and wedges.
“Nippon Shaft would like to congratulate the winner of the LOTTE Championship on her sixth LPGA Tour victory,” said Hiro Fukuda, Sales and Marketing for Nippon Shaft. “We also want to congratulate the runner up and the third-place finisher on their outstanding performances.”
It was the second consecutive LPGA victory for a player using Nippon Shaft, which also prevailed at the ANA Inspiration, the circuit’s first major of the year.
