Ramsdale Park Golf Centre, near Calverton, is pleased to announce the expansion of its junior golf scholarship programme which will now include three local schools and provide free membership and coaching at the club.

A total of eight children have been chosen to receive complimentary membership at Ramsdale Park for a year, in addition to eight weeks free golf coaching from PGA professional Tom Wilson.

The development of the annual programme adds to Ramsdale Park’s existing reputation as one of the best junior golf teaching facilities in Nottingham, with its experienced team of PGA Golf Professionals offering a variety of options for children aged five to 15 and teaching players of all abilities, from beginners to aspiring pros.

Ramsdale Park General Manager Howard Craft commented: “We see participation at the grass roots level as key to the success of golf in years to come. By expanding our junior scholarship programme here at Ramsdale Park, we hope to maximise the exposure of golf to children in the local area.

“Being a member of a golf club is a great way for youngsters to meet other children, make friends and have fun while learning how to play the game,” Craft continued.
