Foremost Professionals Gather for Inaugural Annual Conference
Over 180 Foremost members from around the country gathered in Milton Keynes for the inaugural Foremost Annual Conference, with the two-day programme providing attendees with a range of informative educational seminars in small work groups.
The event signifies yet another investment by the sector-leading retail and marketing group, as it continues to explore new ways to support its professionals by investing money and resource to deliver the most comprehensive set of retail services for its ever-growing membership.
Hosted at the Double Tree Hilton Hotel within the impressive MK Dons Stadium, both Foremost and a selection of invited supplier partners hosted a range of retail-related training seminars, while motivational guest speaker Jamie Edwards gave members new ideas and perspective to their business.
A highlight of the two-day event was the 2016 Foremost Golf Industry Awards, with BBC sports broadcaster Andrew Cotter hosting the evening and announcing the winners of the Golf Monthly Consumer awards, the Supplier Category awards and the coveted Foremost Professional awards.
Jason Broadway from West Cornwall Golf Club in St Ives was crowned the 2016 Foremost Professional of the Year, while PING took the spoils as Supplier of the Year for an unprecedented ninth year in a row.
“We’re thrilled that our first conference was so well attended, with the two days providing the perfect platform for both our member professionals and our staff to share ideas and network,” commented Foremost CEO Paul Hedges.
“Members were able to enjoy a comprehensive series of educational seminars from selected suppliers with topics ranging from custom club fitting to electric trolley rental strategy.
“We’re confident that the knowledge that our members have taken away with them will help drive their businesses forward and maximise revenue next year and beyond,” continued Hedges.
